In 2008, I arrived in Canada as a single mother with three children, aged 21, 16, and 14, leaving behind a successful banking career in my home country. My journey was fueled by the dream of building a better future for my family. Though I couldn’t immediately secure a job in banking, I was fortunate to find an administrative position with a nonprofit organization that provided personal care and support to seniors in the community.

To make ends meet, I took on multiple jobs in addition to my full-time role. Living paycheck to paycheck was a constant challenge, with taxes consuming a significant portion of my earnings. However, the greatest sacrifice was the time I lost—precious moments with my children that I could never reclaim.

Through my work with seniors and caregivers, I gained deep insight into the financial struggles many faced, particularly their lack of financial literacy and the difficulties of managing their finances effectively. This experience reinforced my passion for finance and my desire to provide solutions—not just for seniors but for families as well.

When I was introduced to Greatway, the timing couldn’t have been better. A medical crisis in my own family had opened my eyes to the critical importance of life insurance. The opportunity to become a licensed insurance advisor and independent business owner was a turning point.
